THE BEGINNING

The foundation’s research did not begin as a formal study.
It originated from an earlier exhibition in Venice, where the paintings were first presented outside the artist’s local context.

During that exhibition, visitors spent unusually long periods of time with the works. Some returned repeatedly. Several described that the paintings remained present in their thoughts even after leaving the space. These reactions were not anticipated and were not part of a designed research project.

The experience raised a question: whether certain paintings do not conclude at the moment of viewing, but continue to operate within memory and perception over time.

The foundation’s later research sequence was developed in response to this observation. The subsequent exhibitions in different cities were therefore organized not only as presentations, but as situations in which this phenomenon could be observed across contexts.
